These teachings involve deceitful spirits and teachings of demons that prohibit certain foods and advocate for celibacy. Paul affirms that everything God created is good and can be received with thanksgiving if it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.
2. Training in Godliness (1 Timothy 4:6-10): Paul instructs Timothy to be a good servant of Christ, nourished on the words of the faith and the good doctrine he has followed. He contrasts physical training, which has limited value, with the value of training in godliness. Paul affirms that godliness is beneficial for this life and the life to come. He encourages Timothy to toil and strive because he has set his hope on the living God.
